Shop Dogs: What We’ve Learned from Doug the Pug

It’s important to remember that Parnassus book events are more than just entertainment — they’re learning opportunities. That’s why we, the shop dogs of Parnassus Books, will be taking notes when celebri-dog Doug the Pug stops by this Saturday, November 12.

As you’ll see in Doug’s book, Doug the Pug: The King of Pop Culture, as well as on his Instagram account, Doug takes his career as a cultural influencer seriously, but not too seriously. He’s a fan of travel, snacks, and intentional relaxation:

We like the way Doug the Pug rolls (get it — “rolls” – – because he’s a pug?), so we’ve decided to model ourselves after his example. Here’s what we’ve got so far.

Parnassus Books is thrilled to welcome Andy Cohen as he signs Superficial: More Adventures From the Andy Cohen Diaries.

The mega-popular host of Watch What Happens: Live and executive producer of The Real Housewives franchise is back and better than ever — and now he’s telling stories that will keep his publicist up at night.

Since the publication of his last book, Cohen has toured the country with his sidekick Anderson Cooper, hit the radio waves with his own Sirius station, Radio Andy, appeared on Real Time with Bill Maher (despite his mother’s conviction he was not intellectually prepared), hosted NBC’s Primetime New Year’s Eve special, guest-edited Entertainment Weekly, starred in Bravo’s Then & Now with Andy Cohen, offended celebrities with his ongoing case of foot-in-mouth disease, and welcomed home Teresa “Namaste” Giudice, from a brief stint in jail.
