We’ve learned over the past couple of years that there’s always a little flurry of visitors to Parnassus just before the Southern Festival of Books kicks off at noon on Friday; so this year, we’ve prepared a special welcome! On Friday, from 10-12, feel free to stop by the store on your way downtown to the Festival. Pat the shop dogs, say hello to Parnassus co-owner Ann Patchett, and discover “Dogs as I See Them” — the darling book of 1930s dog portraits that’s just been reprinted with a foreword by Ann. (Yes, she’ll sign copies!)
Are you looking for our shop-people? Coming up this weekend, October 9-11, you can find them…
What do booksellers read when they’re not selling books? Mystery, YA, literary fiction, poetry, nonfiction…
